Home is where the heart’s at….
Or should I rather say, home is where the really neat mobile goodies are!
I’ve created this home page just for you, where you can add comments about any smartphone accessory you’d like to see here, product reviews, pretty much any information you’d like to share with others.
So this post is just for you, I’ve created this so as to give you maybe some guideline for ideas of what mobile accessories are available to you.
Cases, which are designed to attach to, support, or otherwise hold a
smartphone, are popular accessories. Within the cases range there are various different types, I have covered these types of cases under “mobile covers” on my menu tab above on my navigation bar. But just to recap for you here the different types are:
- Pouches and sleeves
- Safety straps
- Flip cases and wallets
- Screen protection and body films
- Drop and shock protection
- Leather case
This is such a cool device to have, I miss place my darn cellphone all the time, it’s quite irritating, cause you’re pretty sure you left it on the dresser???? Where do you find it? Some insane place like in your pantry cupboard, cause you put it down there when you went to go get the coffee.. better yet it’s in the fridge and you spend hours looking for it, and naturally that’s when your mobile is on SILENT!! Well if this is happened to you, you need this nifty little gadget.
It’s simple, this is how it works, your Anti-lost keychain locates your phone through the GPS and Bluetooth antenna of the phone. Once you are in close range of your
smartphone, both the smartphone and the keychain will alert you. Another really cool thing it does is it allows you to remotely take photographs using the Bluetooth function. Man I really love gadgets!!
Wanna play dress up with your phone? Well here’s an idea, how about you get yourself some phone charms. They attach either by a strap or by plugging into the jack plug.
You need this if you’re one of those who loves taking a million photo’s or videos on your mobile because most the phones even now with new technology only has a certain amount of storage space on the actual device, known as your phone memory and although when buying a new phone they say the memory is 16GB for example, the running systems and aps on the phone take up most of your phone memory, once your memory starts getting to full capacity it can cause issues with your mobile like lagging or freezing.
Some smartphones feature an SD slot usually located on the side of your phone, you might notice a really tiny hole, almost the size of a pin hole, you should have received a little (key) kinda looks like a pin shaped thingy, insert that into the little hold and a tiny little tray will pop out, this is where you put your SD card. SD cards come in various sizes anything from 4GB-64GB. With this little number inserted into your mobile you can store as tons of images or videos to your device.
Wi-Fi SDs are Wi-Fi communication devices that are found on a special SD card that gets inserted into the SD card slot. They can move pictures to a local computer or an online photo sharing service.
I’ll say it again.. “Man I love technology”
Chargers and external batteries
Smartphone charge having really come a long way as far as technology goes, they have gone through a diverse evolution that used to include cradles, plug-in cords and obscure connectors. But now the newer smartphones
use micro-USB.(Apple devices still use proprietary cables)
External batteries can be included in cases, but may also be attached to the phone via rubber suction cups.
Here’s something for you photo lover’s maybe you didn’t know but you can get Smart lenses that are larger and more capable than the phone’s camera, having optical zoom and other features. The smartphone connects to them over Wi-Fi using an app. They are compatible with most smartphones. you can also use a Smart flash for selfies.
Pffffffft!! OK who here honestly can say they’ve been to a party and “no one has whipped out there selfie stick” We all have that one friend who probably has 2, 1 for their car, in case they have forgotten their primary one at home. Well as much as I like to make fun of those people I must just say they really are a handy and fun little gadget to have, probably not so much for the male population tho, this is more of a chick thing. But we won’t judge.
It really makes a difference, when you’re posing with your mates for a group photo and you’re trying to get that perfect shot, but no ones arms are long enough, so you end up cutting heads off or half the people out of the picture, well your self stick will most certainly solve that problem. You achieve this by simply extending the handle of the selfie stick which gives you that extra reach you didn’t have before which also then allows you to get those previously unobtainable angles, giving you that PERFECT SHOT!
Smartphone tripod mount
And here we have it, an even simpler gadget for those crazed happy photo snappers, this fancy gadget allows you to set your mobile device in place in a fixed location on the ground during those magical shots, no shaking allowing you to take all the time in the world.
HDMI and Projector
You’ve probably read this heading and was like WHAT THE FUDGE!!
As much as wireless streaming from your phone to your TV has never been easier we still have the issue of a bad connection, well if you have these problems here is a much more reliable solution.
Here’s how amazing smartphones are these days, you can connect your smartphone to a larger HDMI display (IE your TV) using a Micro-USB to HDMI cable with MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) Say good bye to loss of signal!
You would mainly use a projector if you already had one eg you could link your phone to a projector and beam your business presentation onto a wall or watch movies, do live streaming etc… instead of going through your TV.
These are a must!! If you want to give your mobile just that little bit extra protection you need one of these, they will definitely protect your screen from scratches and believe it or not sometime prevent the screen from shattering when dropped, mine has saved my screen every time! Won’t get a phone without one.
Well I hope this helps give you some insight as to what mobile accessories are out there, pretty sure there’s many more I haven’t mentioned, if there are please feel free to let me know and I’ll add them on.
